

Of the 2000 ha about half is used for commercial agriculture where
Keith runs a Jersey stud producing milk. The rest of the farm has
a
variety of habitats including fynbos, renosterveld, indigenous forest
& riverine thickets. A number of mammals occur naturally;
bushbuck & other antelope, porcupine, baboon, leopard and
many more. The
area is renowned for the variety of bird species that are found
here.

Guests are
welcome to take walks, ride mountain bikes, go birding, give your
4x4 a run up the mountain track,
swim in the farm dam, tag along with any farming activities or simply
relax in the garden or lounge with a book. |

The historic homestead dates back to
the early 1700's & is largely maintained
in it's original state. The handcrafted
yellowwood ceilings, floors and doors
are all beautifully maintained. The rooms
are furnished in old Cape style.
