Accommodation and Activities in the Historic Heart of the Heidelberg District

ADVENTURE

AWAITS

Once upon a time...

…the Moodies arrived at Grootvadersbosch, and never left.

Situated at the foot of the Langeberg Mountain, nestled in the Eden Valley of the Garden Route, the farm has been home to the Moodie family since 1818. Steeped in history and heritage, the old house has stood on this spot since 1735.

Fast forward to today...

Keith and Michele are pleased to welcome you to their home and working farm.

With its deep, cool forests; sweeping, rocky ranges; and endless trails and paths, Grootvadersbosch is the perfect place for adventure and relaxation.

Hiking paths that will take in the rich array of fauna and flora.

Mountain biking trails that will test the very best.

Trail running routes that will fill your days and meet your dreams.

And comfortable accommodation to allow you to try it all out,
day after day.

Well, what are you waiting for?
